Bhaskar Neppalli has 15 years of consulting experience in addition to technology industry experience in software and services.
Mr. Neppalli is a hands-on business transformation expert with an operational and advisory background at technology companies. He leads holistic transformation for many corporate and private equity clients. His work also includes supporting the transaction life cycle in carve-out, due diligence, readiness for sale, value creation and more.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Neppalli spent 13 years at AlixPartners in its telecom, media and technology group. In this role, he led many cost transformations and transaction programs for private equity-owned and traditional corporates. He particularly spearheaded many IT and procurement (third-party spend) optimization efforts.
Relevant Experience:
Co-led the overall cost transformation assessment and implementation of an over-$150 million cost savings plan for a leading cloud solutions company
Led external spend optimization assessment at a leading global media company and identified more than $250 million in savings through demand, technical and commercial actions
Led the cost optimization efforts in public cloud spend for a leading data and analytics solution company with a shift to a cloud-based business model including business case, negotiation, cloud excellence and more
Led the product, technology and corporate IT workstream as part of a merger of two large marketplace and platform companies; responsibilities include day-one readiness, synergy realization and long-term sustainability and scalability of businesses
Built a public cloud business case and dynamic financial model for a leading domains and hosting company, considering multiple trade-offs and scenarios and helping negotiate large contracts with Amazon Web Services as well as establishing a cloud excellence team
Led external spending and technology cost reduction efforts at a leading private equity-owned cybersecurity software company delivering more than $100 million in savings as part of a company-wide turnaround plan to improve EBITDA by more than $400 million
Led the cloud spend analysis, forecast and optimization efforts for a leading learning management platform company as part of a holistic growth transformation program
Led the IT contracts and sourcing workstream addressing more than $150 million in external spending and delivered more than 20 percent cost reduction through strategic sourcing, competition and supplier negotiations
Led the procurement workstream at a leading ticket platform company transformation delivering between $14 million and $15 million in savings on a $100 million spend, addressing demand control, commercial levers and policies
Led planning efforts for the wind-down of a legacy business for a private equity-owned telecom and managed services provider
