About Sebastian
Sebastian Blum leads FTI Delta’s New York and Northeast Media & Entertainment practice. Sebastian has 20 years of experience advising senior executive teams and major financial sponsors.
Sebastian works closely with the senior executives of Fortune 1000 enterprises and digital natives to develop the business strategies, capabilities and operating models required to successfully compete in the age of AI, when networks and algorithms run the world. He also helps his clients in identifying efficiencies and resetting their cost structure to make them fit for growth.
Sebastian also works with major financial sponsors that engage in sell-side or buy-side transactions, that take assets public or want to drive profitable growth in large and mid-market portfolio companies.
Throughout his career, Sebastian has served clients in lead markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria and Switzerland, as well as in growth markets like Turkey, Russia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
Prior to joining FTI Delta, Sebastian was a Partner and the Media Entertainment & Consumer Internet Lead for North America at OC&C Strategy Consultants, as well as a Partner at Booz & Company (now Strategy&). Before his consulting career, Sebastian co-founded an internet start-up and worked as a fashion photographer in London.

Focusing on business strategy, transformation, efficiency programs, organizational and operating model design, capability building (e.g. pricing, salesforce effectiveness and content creation) and transactions
Advising leading media companies in television, publishing, gaming and gambling, news, education, live events, sports and media technology on how to successfully transition into digital by supercharging their difference-making, evergreen capabilities (e.g., content/IP, experience, audience, brand and commerce capabilities) through disruptive technologies like machine learning, immersive technology, blockchain, massive data and high speed networks
Working with cutting-edge digital natives like streaming, podcasting and video gaming firms, consumer internet firms, marketplaces, social media platforms and digital marketing firms, that develop the next generation of audiences, content, customer, product and go-to-market capabilities
Supporting complicated transactions in the digital media ecosystem ranging from $500 million to $1.3 billion, from a buy-side, sell-side and value creation perspective in the United States, Europe and internationally
